Errol was joined in studio by Dr Cherie Daly executive manager and Louis Rehrl managing director of Cryo-Save The Family Stem Cell Bank. They had a very interesting discussion about stem cells, umbilical cord blood – stem cells produce all your blood and immune system cells, umbilical cord stem cells are “neonatal stem cells” and considered to be earlier than “adult stem cells”. They are less mature (less committed) than stem cells found in the bone marrow or organs of adults or children.
