How are we “playing god” when God made us in his image, to use life as he does. To help create better lives for all the living. Just like God….

Anyone trying to stop or slow the progress of science is evil. Science has always show itself to be of greater good to humanity than all of it’s harms. Cloning humans will eventually prove itself either to be an advance for mankind, or it will be abandoned because it simply wont work. But we should never quit trying to advance in the field of medicine. And we should definitely not let the government regulate it.

I honestly never thought of it like that before. I will have to do some thinking on it now. I don’t understand the stem cell enough to have a opinion.
Still cant say I feel right about it, but not totally wrong about it..

Christians are split on subjects such as what you brought up. There is no wrong or right answer, but the heart of Christianity all comes down to loving one another.
The Bible says not to talk about subjects that will stir people up and make them argue. Just keep the beliefs to yourself and live a life of joy and happiness.

The word “God” in Hebrew ĕlôhîym (el-o-heem’) is plural and means God and the angels.
You can justify anything in your mind when you don’t care about anything but the carnal flesh. Sow to your spirit because the flesh will perish.

Yes, the Scriptures do say that God made us in His image. The Scripture means we are like Him in that we can reason, we are creative, we have imagination, we have compassion, etc. God is always pleased when we do good things for people, discover great things, He has blessed many people with the talents to do such things, but He is not pleased when we start using our talents to go off the path. He destroyed some towns in the Old Testament because the people got to big for their britches, pardon the translation! He isn’t pleased with this either, but try to not worry about it, instead talk with Him about it and tell Him how you feel. He is watching the situation, and is not surprised by it.

God is a Spirit. You are a spirit, whether you know it or not.

God made a covenant with us involving animals, plants, and ourselves. God said, “All the land animals will be afraid of you. All of the birds of the air will fear you. Every fish in the oceans will also be afraid of you. Every living thing is put under your control. Everything that lives and moves will be food for you. But you must not eat meat that has blood in it. You can be sure that I will hold someone accountable if you are murdered. I will even hold animals accountable if they kill you. I will also hold anyone accountable who murders another person. That is because I have made man in my own likeliness (or image). This is what God says. He never says anything about changing genes or cloning. You can’t play God. You don’t give the breath of life for something else. You can’t create grass or something other than yourself without something God has created. God made us in his image, but didn’t tell us to change ourselves. That would be making us out of his image and that is not God’s will. God does not create better lives for all the living directly. You have to find the good in yourself instead of dwelling on the bad all the time. Everyone has a good side, you just have to find it and expand off of it and let everyone show that the good that God has put in you, is showing and you are happy. Put your talents towards God’s work and you will be highly rewarded. I have. It’s a great feeling you can’t describe in words. God is so infathomable that we have not the slightest idea of how glorious God is. I hope some part of this answers your question. Thank You.

It doesn’t matter what the bible says wicked people are going to do what they want any how.yeah he gave us dominion over the earth,but not to detroy it and try to play God,Satan is using human to do all this science stuff so we think that their is no God and that humans can survive with out him.but look what man has done to this earth.ruined it and has killed alot of people for nothing.soon this will all come to an end,and God will put everyone in their place and we will see who is right or wrong.

Having dominion over something does not give us the right to abuse it. If I have dominion over someone, does that give me the right to abuse, starve, mutilate, sell, or enslave them? Why do people take God’s word and try to use their own logic to distort it? Being created in someone’s image does not mean we are them. It just means we should have their traits and I don’t recall reading in the Bible about God using science for His own purposes.

We are made in God’s image. We are given domion over all the earth. The book of Genesis speaks of this. The “domion of all the earth” speaks of the plants, animals, the creeping things of the earth. It never speaks of you or I being over another person or child or elderly person. We are given a responsibilty to be over the animals and plants. God has dominion over you and I.
There is a lot of science and technology, old and new. Take for instance the gun. Just b/c we have guns doesn’t mean that we kill random people for the sake of testing out a gun or even using the victim/ test dumby to determine the best way of surgically fixing a person with a gun shot wound.
The key to your question is that we are made in His “image”. We are not made equal to Him or perfect like God. We are to reflect His holiness and righteousness. Last time I checked, I couldn’t heal a blind man or walk on water, and I am a follower of Christ!
Maybe you could understand where I am coming from if you checked out the bible a little closer. What makes me a Christian? What does a follower of Christ really mean? Get a bible and look up these verses. It is where I found hope and a true relationship with Jesus Christ. Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23, John 3:3, John 14:6, Romans 10:9-13, Revelation 3:20
God is the only One in control of our destiny. He could choose to take you out of this world any minute. Do you know your destiny? Do you know where you would go if you were to die tonight? You can know!
