Question by : If “Stem Cell Therapy” cures arthritis for dogs, then why not humans??!!?
My old dog developed arthritis. I took it to a veterinarian who gave it “Stem Cell Therapy” and cured it. Where it once sat in pain motionless, now runs and plays with much younger dogs.

Not even remotely enough information to answer your question intelligently. We’d have to know EXACTLY what KIND of arthritis, what kind of stem cell therapy was used (if it WAS stem cell therapy), what the dosage was, what was considered the criteria for a successful outcome, etc. Be aware that dogs have MUCH higher pain thresholds of pain than do humans. They can perform well while enduring pains that would nail you or me to the floor, screaming in agony. They can have abdominal surgery one day, and be running around the next, which no human on Earth could endure. Of course, IF this is indeed an effective treatment for CERTAIN TYPES of arthritis, then your wild guess is as good as mine to how many would benefit from it. Suffice it to say that researchers are developing all kinds of effective new treatments for all kinds of disabling or even fatal diseases, and more are coming every day. If this therapy is undergoing tests on canines today, it’ll be coming out for humans in a few years. But, FIRST they have to know that it IS effective, and that it doesn’t cause unforeseen complications. Small steps at a time…
